The framework behind every document you'll show an investor

Before writing anything, SeedAngels researches your market and builds your Lean Canvas — nine sections that become the single source your Business Plan, your Pitch Deck and your forecast are all written from.

  • A factual, documented and detailed Lean Canvas, fully tailored to your project
  • A complete benchmark of your competition
  • A documented analysis that sharpens your understanding of the market

You check our understanding at every step

Describe your idea in a few sentences. We restate the problems you solve, in your customers' words, and list who is already on that ground. You correct anything that looks wrong — it costs you nothing at this stage, and everything after it depends on getting this right.

  • Each problem restated as who suffers, from what, and what they do about it today
  • Three to six real competitors, with their websites
  • Add, edit or delete anything before you validate
  • Nothing is written on top of a misunderstanding

A Lean Canvas built in five steps

Our tool runs five analyses in sequence, each one building on the last. Two minutes later, your Lean Canvas is written.

  • Your problem validated: tested against forums, press and communities — not against the marketing pages of companies selling a solution
  • Who your customers are: segments, ideal customer profile (ICP), and the channels to reach each one
  • Your differentiation brought to the front, after analysing what each of your competitors offers
  • A benchmark of your offer and your pricing
  • A critical read on your solution: what is easily replicable, and how to build a defensible competitive advantage

An analysis built to the best academic standards

Worked through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) method of Osterwalder & Pigneur, and alongside a pool of investors.

  • Every foundation your funding file needs is laid
  • Full control: adjust, complete or validate step by step
  • Every document and source used stays available, so you can grasp the whole file and defend it

Every claim carries the source it came from

Each section lists the pages it was written from. Open them, read them, make them yours — so when someone challenges you, you can say exactly why.

  • Within each section, every claim is documented with the sources attached to it
  • Grouped by research question: competitors, problem, customers, business model
  • You keep control: change the data whenever you have something more precise to bring
  • Your own edits always take priority over our analysis

Why the sources can be trusted

A link only appears in your canvas if the page behind it was actually fetched and read during the research. Sources that were never opened are dropped before you ever see them: your bibliography gathers the pages that were used to build your project.

Questions about the framework

A Lean Canvas is a one-page summary of a business: the problem, the customers, the solution, how you make money, what it costs, and what makes you hard to copy. It is the shortest honest description of a business model. Starting there means your Business Plan and your Pitch Deck tell the same story, because both are written from it.
No. A few sentences about your idea is enough — the research is the part we do. You will know more about your market after the canvas than before it, and the sources are there so you can go deeper wherever you want.
Yes, everywhere. You can edit the key points of any section, and what you write takes priority over our analysis when your Business Plan and Pitch Deck are built. The canvas is a starting draft you own, not an output you have to accept.
That is exactly what the validation step is for. Before the nine sections are written, you see how we restated your problem and which competitors we found, and you fix anything that is wrong. Correcting it there takes a minute and costs nothing.
Building your canvas is free, and so is the dashboard that reads your numbers back to you. You can go through the whole process and see your analysis before deciding whether SeedAngels is worth paying for.
