The structure of an investor pitch deck

All six designs follow the same outline, the one investors expect to read, which we explain in our complete pitch deck guide:

  1. 01The problem: who suffers, and why today's options fall short.
  2. 02The solution: what you sell, in a few concrete points.
  3. 03The market: TAM, SAM and SOM, sized and sourced.
  4. 04Customers: your personas and how you will win them.
  5. 05The business model: revenue streams and prices.
  6. 06Competition: a table and a positioning map (see the competition slide).
  7. 07The team: why you are the right people.
  8. 08The numbers: revenue, margin and cash over 3 years (see the financials slide).
  9. 09The ask: the amount, its form and the valuation it implies.

Already have customers? Add a traction slide right after the solution: it is often the most read one.

Pitch deck templates: frequently asked questions

Yes. The PDF examples download directly, with no sign-up and no email. The PowerPoint template of each design is emailed to you for free. You can use, edit and present them for your own project.
The PDF is the finished deck, as an investor receives it: use it to see the result and the structure. The PowerPoint file (.pptx) holds the same slides, editable: text, tables, charts and colours can be changed in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote.
For a first send to investors, 12 to 20 slides is enough: problem, solution, market, customers, business model, competition, team, numbers and the ask. Our examples run from 18 to 33 slides depending on the design, because they include an appendix (financial assumptions, sources) you can drop for a live pitch.
The emphasis changes: at pre-seed investors mostly judge the problem, the team and early signals; at seed they expect traction and a credible forecast; at Series A, solid metrics. The structure stays the same. We cover the differences in our guide to pitch decks by funding stage.
The companies are fictional, but their market research, competitors and sources come from real research run by SeedAngels, and their forecasts are computed like any project's. Every deck lists its sources on its last slide.
Yes. The .pptx file opens in Google Slides (File > Import slides, or open it from Google Drive) and in Keynote. Text stays editable; if a font is missing, the closest available one is used.
